Ever since I got Crysis 2 the multiplayer has pissed me off. Every match I joined I found it rediculously hard to keep a steady aim on a moving target, then somehow everybody else has instant aiming and seemingly random headshots at times as well. I kept getting a bad K/D on every match I played (I don't play multiplayer games much, but when I do that's the only thing that matters to me, it's a measure of a good player IMO).
Then I realised I had aim assist off. I switched it back on, and what happened?
For three games in a row I instantly became better and always ended up being in the top 3 players. Try it for yourself. Pause the game, go to Options --> Game --> Aim Assistance --> Off. You'll see how rediculously easy/hard aim assist makes the game. It acts like an elastic band to ANY player you aim at. If they move, the game aims FOR YOU towards his direction. It's more subtle than CoD, yet somehow it manages to be worse. In CoD, the rubber band effect lasts for roughly a second or two and only for a certain distance. Yet in Crysis, it seems to last for double the time and double the distance.
Anybody else notice this?
