I have no problems with multiplayer.
Everyone wants to blame something for them not doing well. Well how about blaming your own skill at the game.
Having been one of the top players on the leaderboards on the 360 demo (both times) and having my share of games played I can say that I am not bad at this game. This game is horribly inconsistent and Cloak is far too forgiving.
You may be having the time of your life but the rest of the community are getting increasingly frustrated at this game's multiplayer experience. Networking code is this game's downfall, maybe not for you, the majority of us it is.
Idk about the majority there bro. Maybe a very VOCAL minority... How many thousands of copies were sold on the 360? If it were truely the majority, this site would be flooded with complaints, which it is not. Most of the complaints I see coming from the same group with the occasional newcomer.
The complaints I see are people having acclimation problems or sever connection issues. I do agree that C2 matchmaking is not perfect, but it's definitely playable from my location. Now those of us who have less than favorable IP's or live in strange lands will be able to play once patches are implemented. It's been ONE week, it takes that long for XBL to even approve a patch. It's going to be at least one more week before a major patch is released. Now, acclimatizing to the game is up to the user and how stuck in their ways they are. Some may just have to go back to their previous title for full enjoyment, and wait for it's next release.
BTW, leaderboard on the demo does not guarantee leaderboard on release. There is changes, also from my demo experience. It was a bunch of kids playing, so competition was a lil weak. Now that it's released, I hear advlts and the competition has went up.
The lag doesn't make the game unplayable at all...it just makes it very frustrating. It's hard to tell at times whether the person who ate 20 rounds and then killed you with 2 shots actually did it like that, or if something entirely different happened. That's my beef with killcams, if it's not an accurate representation of how something went down, then it's just horribly misleading and frustrating at the same time. All people are complaining about is the latency issues with this game, and I don't feel it's a minority issue at all, in fact I'd say its the opposite, people with consistently good connections in this game so far would probably be the exception, not the rule. I know myself and all my friends I play with deal with it a bunch, I can't speak for the community as a whole, but would assume connections are an issue. I still enjoy the game though, and it does have great promise, I just hope the community doesn't get frustrated with the issues and quit entirely before the issues are addressed.
