Pickpocket issues

Post » Sat Dec 12, 2009 3:08 am

I heard that Major Knight is easy to pickpocket if you need repairs (then pickpocket caps back).
I have a 100 sneak AND used a stealth boy...
When I tried to enter the building stealthed, I managed to steal some misc items, but when I tried to take the caps he noticed.
Anyone have an idea of what might have happened, because I missed out on the repair perk that allows you to repair items in the same category. So now my awesome Enclace Renmant armor and helmet will wear off, because I have broken all the casinos, so I have no huge source of money...

1.Save
2.Pickpocket.
3.Fail? Reload. Suceed? Enjoy the caps.

Then you'll have to waste a lot of money I guess.
Action and consequence, didn't take Jury Rigging then it's gonna be a pain to repair armors.

You don't need the casinos to have a steady cash generator, that's what the Fiends are for.

I never looked, but I hope that having 100 in pickpocket sneak does not guarantee success; (only a really good chance of it).

Already tried that over 10 times now.

It doesn't, even if you're using a stealthboy. The weight/value of the item determines how difficult it is to steal, as much as your sneak skill.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I suppose I'll just re-roll with a new character. And be sure to get Jury Rigging or whatever it's called.

you could just steal the caps in smaller amounts at a time, if you try to steal thousands at once, you will get caught, maybe a hundred or two and you will be fine.
