I got a big problem :(

I have a big problem!
Im so sick of Fallout 3, but most of all sick of New Vegas. But I want to play the games! I tried playing New Vegas some time ago, but I just had to turn it off, it was nothing to do! :(
So please, if anyone got ideas for how I can have fun with these games again, share them with the world!

Have some imagination. Set yourself a challenge.
Failing that, play something else. I assume you're not forced to play these two games for the rest of your life.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest something really radical...

Okay. Ready? Are you sitting down?

Here it is:

Try a different game.

That's right. Walk away from Fallout for a while and play something else. I know, I know, the idea is... just... so completely "out there" but I really think you should give it a chance.

Try beating the game with a 10mm SMG and a pre-war suit on Very Hard hardcoe Mode. (Only allowed to have 10 stimpacks on you)

Try playing an unarmed-and-explosives character, that's always a fun build I think.

And if you're really fed up with NV, do a kill-'em-all playthrough, it's suprisingly cathartic and quite challenging if done properly (i.e. no buying stuff off merchants/getting them to repair your gear before you kill them, you can only survive on what you can scavenge.)

I know how you feel. I love Oblivion so after 6 games of FNV and getting all excited about Skyrim, I loaded up Oblivion and played to level 11. I missed FNV so much because of the great stories and play and companions, that I loaded up FNV and was a happy Courier once again. Don't get me wrong, I still love Oblivion, it was my first ever and I will finish that game, but 5 years later, its age is showing a bit and FNV is so brand spanking new and challenging. I have a FO3 game going too and I'm just going to play what I feel like playing even if I jump around from game to game. Sometimes I feel like being the Champion of Cyrodiil, sometimes I feel like being the Lone Wanderer and sometimes I feel like being a Courier. Do what you feel.... :)

I'm not sure why you want to play them if you're so sick of them!

Maybe it's time you took a break from playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas. You could always try out the originals (you can get Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics for 20 bucks off Steam). After playing those, you may be ready to come back. And by then, there may be a couple more DLCs out for New Vegas.

I haven't played Fallout games in many months, but the few times I really wanted to go back and play the great stories in FO3 and NV Ive been so excited. But then when I start playing its like "Huh.. Ive done all this before, why would I do it again?" :(
And also Im so not sure if Dead Money is worth buying!

Buy the originals. They are super cheap. Play them and an maybe Fallout will have more meaning for you.

Make a character as close to you as you can make it.

Move on to a new game. You seem to have squeezed all you could out of the two.

Or get it on PC and have fun with mods.
