Truly Brilliant Experience - Innovative, Inspirational Game

Post » Fri Dec 25, 2009 6:16 pm

Thankyou Crytek,

I just wanted to post a message in the forums expressing my gratitude for one of the most incredible single player experiences I have had for many years (in the FPS genre)

The graphics, gameplay and design of Crysis 2 left me breathless and deeply entertained and my heartfelt congratulations and praise goes out to all those involved in making this game a reality.

I would like to say I rank the Crysis 2 campaign amongst the very best FPS experiences of recent years (up there with Halo CE / Bioshock) and am still pretty gobsmacked by the amazing visuals you guys have managed to squeeze from the Xbox 360!!!

I'm afraid I do have to agree with the (mostly very rude) crowd of people somewhat aggravated by the hiccups currently present in multiplayer but trust that your MP Xbox 360 team are hard at work developing a patch to fix the common issues (poor host selection/audio/etc) to the best of their abilities.

Ultimately though, at this point, I just want to reinforce the fact that there are many, many people who are simply blown away by this great game and wish you the best of luck for the future (as long as that includes a Crysis 3 for Xbox!!!!)

I agree, you wrote everything on my mind dude.

Although, I hope the next Crysis project comes along with the next-gen consoles because I'm sure that they can make the games so much better and take it to a much higher level.

Microsoft is already researching and developing better disc data storage methods and it could take the strain of having to work with minimal storage off the developers.

I just know that Crytek's next project is going to be **** awesome!!

I don't doubt it for a second. In fact this game seems to me like the start of what could become a pretty damn special series.

I see thread upon thread of arrogant, rude people reaching poorly judged conclusions and 'demanding' things before they 'burn the game' etc.

It's really just alot of hot air. Although I understand people are frustrated with some of the issues I don't agree at all with how nasty and inconsiderate their posts on this forum can be.

Still, I'm certain Crytek are a bunch of tough-skinned, experienced and intelligent advlts who know how to deal with a bit of backlash.

They'll sort the problems.

Yeah, honestly I HATE the problems with the game, but my rule of thumb is to not start hating the game until after a month or 2 after release. They'll pull it off, I believe in Crytek.

"If you fix it, they will come"

"Believe . . . In Crytec" (Halo 3's believe btw)

"Then well just have to make them a game, that they cant refuse" This is what lead campaign designer of Crysis 2 said before development.

I'm pretty happy with the game as well. Yes, there are some issues, but I'm not impatient or feeling overly entitled like a lot of other posters. I'm giving them a chance to come out with a fix. In the meantime this game is far from "unplayable" as some have claimed. I still have a lot of fun with it and the eventual patch will likely make it better.
