What you describe sounds normal around here, although others will tell you otherwise (those that don't have problems :P). What's the worst glitch you've encountered? It doesn't sound as bad as some other people's experiences.

Also, are you on the original or GOTY?

It's sorta a club you wish you weren't a member of. You love Bethesda games, but you hate the PS3 console crashes. The artists and story writers must be pulling their hair out. Their beloved creation is being killed by programming challenges. Bethesda has glitches across all platforms, so something fundamental is wrong with this engine. The PS3 being one of the most difficult consoles to program on doesn't help. So imagine the problems we're having spread out over three platforms, all with varying levels of crash bugs. We can only hope that they prioritize the fixes prior to releasing yet more content to torture us.

Love the franchise. Love the game. Can't wait to get past this stage.

I remember when WoW used to crash this much. I never thought it would end, but it did.

That's certainly an option. I'd also suggest going through the usual channels of support like their email support form, http://support.gamesas.com/eng/email.asp?sid=053548091109069140036166&pid=400000032&pnm=Fallout+3&seid=400000082&pos=Playstation+3 . It might help, but most likely will not. I'm not sure what the tech support number is (couldn't find it navigating through their site), but I searched through the forums and came up with this: (410)-568-3685. Apparently their email is support@gamesas.com.

I also searched for Bethesda Softworks on BBB and wasn't surprised at the rating there.

it is supposed to be glitchy like this don't worry. Bathesda programmed in this way to optimize the pleasure we would get from the game

I'm just curious as to what Bethesda or PS is going to do to fix this problem with the MASSIVE glitches and freezing that happens with the GOTY edition. Every 15min I have to reset the console and start over again. I don't have a problem with it happening once in a while, but this is REDICULOUS!!! Come on Bethesda, FIX THIS GUYS!!!!!

You're sorta joining a program already in session. The PS3 DLC is all littered with bugs. The PS3 unit crashes completely requiring you to get up and hold down the power button to get it to reboot.

To my knowledge Bethesda hasn't formerly responded to the problem, so we're left out in the cold trying to figure out what to do with our investment.

Perhaps this is their way of making us live in the wastelands right in our living rooms?

as mentioned in another topic, the only way Bethesda would patch their games is if a group of people went in with guns threatening to kill them if a patch wasnt made.
But then seeing how this is Bethesda, youd freeze as soon as you walked through the door.

I laughed out loud when I read this. Well said.

I'm sure they'll fix the bugs, if for no other reason than Fallout Vegas will NEED the fix to run.

I've deleted a profanity-laden, unproductive post, and one that quoted it.

On reflection, though, it seems the question has been answered and we've reached the conclusion of the topic.

To answer the last question, Fallout: New Vegas is a forthcoming game published by Bethesda and using Fallout 3's assets and engine which will be developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Discussion of this game belongs on the Fallout Series board.
To answer the first question, if you have any specific issues or problems, please give as much information as possible if you are posting to request advice on these boards. "This game is glitchy" isn't helpful; "I get a freeze at x point" is more likely to result in a tip, fix or workaround.
