Veronica :hehe:

Get out :verymad:

@Kavoogie- It depends on what you want. Arcade is powerful with EW, where as Raul is skilled with guns, and has a quest perk that upgrades his weapons skill with cowboy esque weapons. Gannon has a neat quest reward. I'd say go for both. If you're a Legion man though, Arcade will never join you.

Hmmm... tough decision indeed.

I've never had Gannon very long as a companion while Raul is one of my favorites. I think they're both good, in every aspect

Ok, ok seriously I'd say to go for Arcade mainly because of his companion quest and the reward you get (that is if you can finish it considering the associated bug at the end)

Yeah, if you like awesome protection, Arcade's your guy. And since Arcade's travelling with you is self-terminating, you can even recruit Raul afterward.

One thing that I often consider is the specialization of the follower I choose, so that we don't end up in conflict over a superb weapon or hard-to-find ammo. For instance, if I'm going to be a Guns/Melee guy, I might want Veronica, she's Energy/Unarmed. If I'm going to be Guns/Unarmed, I might want Arcade, who's Energy/Melee. I'm assuming Raul is a Guns user as well, so he'd be the better choice if I was specializing in Energy or Explosives.

Raul, hands down.

His perk is vastly better than Arcade's. His upgrade is better than Arcade's (although it's not entirely fair to measure Arcade's quest reward only by the upgrade Arcade receives). Raul isn't fussy about your allegiance, too.

If you're playing an Energy weapons character, Raul with non-Vaquero upgrade will seriously extend the life of your weapons.

If you're specializing in Cowboy weapons, I would suggest opting for Arcade, so as to not compete with Raul for relatively scarce .44 and 45.70 ammo.

Ok go for Raul.

Arcade will kill steal everything he sees from you. His plasma defender wrecks everything. It makes the game way to easy and it already is...

They're both decent fighters, but Raul halves (at a minimum) weapon and armour degradation. Case closed.

wait, doesn't his regular maintainance perk still work after the upgrade?

It does, but when using weapons as fragile as the Tri-Beam Laser rifle, you need all the maintenance you can get.

Boone. Failing that, I would go for Arcade, his quest is cooler.

Well, i downright don't use them in hardcoe, and in softcoe, even if i do have them with me, i don't feel like paying for their bullet spam for a bit of extra damage.

I must be playing the game wrong :P

I let Raul handle the La Longue carbine or the Myterious Magnum. I once let him use the All American and attacked Camp Golf, I was amazed by the results.
Arcade well wreck things up with the Q35 or just give him a plasma Caster or gatling laser, or RCW. Hell any EW thats fires fast.
Give Cass DinnerBell its just heaven.
I let Lily use Anabelle (Don't recommend, only use for S&Gs).
I like to give Veronica the AE7 and pushy(Ballistic Fist is more satisfying though).
Boone the Gobi Campaigne Sniper rifle or AM Rifle.

-Don't mind Matyr he hates BOS.

Now that .45-70 ammo can be bought by the ton. Raul.

Get him in his Vaquero outfit armed with a Brush Gun, loaded with SWC rounds, and you have an "easy mode" that even easier than pre-broken Boone.
