Quick Question For Moderatiors

Post » Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:11 am

So ive already beaten Fallout NV (im sure everyone on the forum has) but lets say i wanted to make another char just to mess around with and try different skills, would it be considered cheating, glitching, modding, hacking or ANY other variation if i were to remove the patch on xbl to do the hellios one xp trick? again im not doing it to give me an advantage in game (i already have a main char.) im just wondering if its punishable to do a patch remove>?

I don't see why you'd need to abuse a glitch, the games XP is pretty much overflowing.

Well then don't worry. You won't. But like the others I still don't know why you would need to.

I dont NEED to. I was just gonna use it to build an explosive char so i could throw nades at deathclaws

You ever hear the saying work smart not hard? sure you could counter that with Cheaters never prosper lol either way.

Well you do realize that all it does is make you level up faster, right? It doesn't give you extra skill points. It would be just like leveling up normally, but faster.

What you do in front of your own computer is up to you - I am more likely to get grumpy with you for spelling "Moderatiors" wrong in the topic title.

Well actually, oh so grumpy one, he's using an Xbox and is curious if removing the patch to preform an exploit/glitch would be considered doing something illegal. As far as I'm concerned, it's his Xbox, he can do what he wishes.

If you are going to use exploits to cheat the game then it's best to be quiet about it though.
Xbox moderators aren't CIA so they don't exactly have someone specifically watching your every move.
But it's still best to keep quiet about using the exploits.
Dunno if it's ban-able.

Guys stop picking on the poor fella

And I do belive you might get your achivments erased if discoverd. I think they would consider it you exploiting a bug to get acheivments.

Well if you remove the patch to use the exploit this would mean that you're disconnected from LIVE.

Therefore they can't prove anything and I doubt they would do anything if they knew anyway.

Besides it's a singleplayer game, you can't grief yourself so you aren't causing other people problems.

Nobody bans for cheating in single player, but if you use external sources you run the risk of being banned.
