I never choose that trait before, I wonder will my character become smaller if I choose it? :P

By the way, I heard some people say it is very useful...why?

No, but if you play on PC you can use console command Player.SetScale x.xx to change your size (values larger than 1 = bigger, lower than 1 = smaller).

It's useful because it adds 1 to Agility and 20 to AP, IIRC.

It's a pity that they didn't have a height slider and body modifications in the character creation screen, it's annoying that so many game characters are always so tall. I don't want to be a tall character, I want my character to be 5'3 like I am!

I've nver used the perk, but I might one day once the game is fixed, if it gets fixed.

Well, the problem isn't they didn't WANT to, it's that they wanted to allocate resources to more important things. If they had a H/W adjuster, you'd have to make a skin for every single number in the H/W they made. So if they made a 200 Height and 200 Weight limit, there'd be over four hundred skins for every single clothing item.

Plus, imagining someone who looks like Gizmo in a skin tight Vault Suit is NOT something I want to see. :yucky:

The game has no problem with height & clothing models....just with making people fat ala potbellies or giant butts or whatever. You can make them look overall a bit wider tho, in a sort of 2-dimensional way. Therefore I'd guess a height slider wouldn't have been out of the realm of possibility for them to do w/out any extra trouble. I'd have been happy with just that, personally. But then, as always, there's always the GECK...

You're right. Give Arcade anything with decent DT, and he can wear it. So it's just weight that's a problem.

Edit: For those who don't use Arcade/have met him. Arcade is taller than the PC.

One issue that comes up with height is that if you make yourself too short, it becomes difficult (occasionally impossible) to see/click on items/thingies that are higher up (say on top of a shelf). Plus if you're too tall hard it's to get through doors etc. So if they had included a slider, it still probably wouldn't have been too varied by default. :)

I just checked and I was wrong...I think the weight stat in the GECK does nothing...I could swear once before I had Boone being slightly thinner & thicker once, but maybe it was a visual illusion.

But if you are too tall than you may be too far to reach anything as well....

I use it with every character. Doesn't change your size. What it does is add +1 to agility with your limbs taking an extra 25% damage. The advantage is a near free special point on character creation by lowering agility by one and placing it elsewhere.

The penalty is is completely meaningless even to someone that catches every bullet, grenade and triggers every trap. Once you get crippled enough the "Tough Guy" challenge perk is awarded and zeros out the penalty. There is a place near Goodsprings where there is a bed and bear traps next to each other so the challenge can be done quickly with hardcoe mode off. If you happen to be one that rarely takes damage from combat/traps the penalty is again pointless.

It's a great trait that I take with almost every character, but I would add a note of caution: don't take it if playing as an explosives-focused character on hardcoe mode. Not my smartest character build ever...

As a PC player i have played around with the console commands and made a small Asian chick and it was kind of cool to be a bit on the petite side. One draw back though some of the modded clothing looked a bit off, nothing obvious but not really right either, IDK could have just been me knowing the character was not default. I am picky sometimes much to my own detriment.
