Requesting Tips from the People of the Win

Post » Wed Jan 13, 2010 1:08 am

So, I am not a great player in general, but I don't think I do bad (not counting the games where my registry is ****).

I'm looking for some helpful tips to avoid getting shot in the back/side repeatedly. It seems like 90% of the time I go 1:1 because whenever I unload on someone to get a kill, either his buddy, or some random person takes me out while I'm reloading. I'm just curious how anyone really manages to have a ratio above 2.00 in the game constantly... I've done it a few times, when I'm in a game full of bads, but it's rare.

Any tips? My aim isn't complete ****, but it's not impeccable by any means. I do use headphones from time to time but I usually can't pick out the footsteps or gun fire near by from across the map.... so it usually just sounds like a cacophony.

1. try to stick with your team

2. don't rush out to fetch the dog tags of your kills. give it a few secs.

3. if possible cloak after a kill, unless you're obviously being attacked.

seems to work ok for me.

Use a silencer & Proximity alarm.

And straight after killing book it out of there in cloak because you know for a fact their team mates will barrel towards the red dot, objective or no objective.

Also discipline yourself a bit aswell, instead of jumping straight in for a kill, assess the situation because more than likely they will have a team mate around them in cloak.

What im trying to do more now is mark a group of enemies with my visor before engaging so even if they go into cloak I can still track them when I attack and If I die my team mates can mop up the stragglers.

Also try to stay high because height is an advantage in this game.

You honestly have to find your play style for this game. It is much more diverse in the ways you can attack and it plays so much faster than other fps making it have a steeper learning curve. If your getting killed alot up close try sniping for example. Enemies move REALLY slow when aiming. AND try to attack rather than react.

And use grenades! Not alot of people use them that I have seen. Random grenades raqe in this game lol.

don't want to get shot in the back? pray. then learn how to play the game without the help of your teammates. they will only get in your way and watch you die to reap the benefits of the easy kill. if any interaction with them is to be made, use them as bait. otherwise, get a wingman that you trust and go around the map together like you were tethered to each other. also, cloak often and never stay in one place.

Im like level 45ish and i think in the top 200 for kills in the world. The secret of not dying from camping **** waiting in cloak is to be a moving **** in cloak :). My class i use in every game type on every map is a feline with 4x scope and extended mag, ay69 and jaw with lvl3 energy transfer, lvl3 stealth enhance and lvl3 weapon pro or. Mobility enhance based on if im running flags. Literally every kill gives 100% suit energy so your never out of cloak. Nothing like sprinting with the relay all the way across those huge night maps invis on only one bar of energy. Stopping is for lame people. It gives you the chance to escape if you kill someone and 5 people decloak beside you and you are lightening when running with the ay out. Don't tell anyone though :) im sure by tomorrow ill be fighting clones of my class
