I can relate. I have lost everything except for my job thanks to Crysis 2.
It destroyed my life.
It all started when i started having a lot of fun with the game. Much like you my wife felt betrayed by my time being spent constantly in front of the pc. 1 week later, i just could not take her moaning anymore and slapped her for trying to get a turn on the Multiplayer.
Look, dont get me wrong, normally i would give her a chance to play if she schedules this a week or so in advance. But i was leading on the score bord at that point in time. This slap, caused her to leave me. And everything quickly took a turn for the worst. As she walked out, i though aggg who cares im still leading.
Suddenly the servers went down. Aparently a new patch came out. I updated and lost all my progress. This infuriated me, triggering (which i was not aware of at the time) a massive psychotic breakdown. Because my rank was reset! I started kicked the cabinet, throwing my monitor off the table, wires flying everywhere. I could not control myself. I felt like the incredible hulk and continued smashing everything in my path.
Eventually, i calmed down. And decided this is a lot of effort. I have become unfit from playing Crysis 2 so much. So i opted to just light the place up. Collected some gasoline and proceeded to burn my house down. After that, i was still having delusional thoughts. Thinking its ok, i am wearing my nano suit i might as well plough my car through the wall. Turned out i forgot the physics were so bad the wall hardly gave way, smashing my car to bits.
And now, i can only access the internet from wifi spots with my iphone. Good thinking to not smash that as well.
So to sum all this up.
Crysis 2 made me
1: lose my wife
2: lose my house
3: lose my car
4: lose my sanity
5: physicly unfit
I deman a refund and compensation for this. !!!
