Buy GOTY, or normal+DLC ?

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 6:32 am

I want to buy fallout 3 and play it in high-def on my PS3. I red that alot of people are complaining the instability of the GOTY edition (because it doesn't install itself on the PS3).
So I thought, "Why not buy the none-GOTY and download the DLCs, via PSN".
I am asking you what DLC Ishould download ... or wich one makes the game unstable.

... hope Bethesda sees this message... the instability part of it, for the GOTY...

Never mind. I just stumbled on that new topic
Freeze Fix for the GoTY version.

It say that the problems with fallout 3 GOTY are because the game is loading in the background. And in order to play it bug-free, we must press start when the game slows down, for it to completely loads the game parts.

GOTY isn't that bad if you don't have a save file from the original.

Sorry for the delay...
I don't have any saved games from the none GOTY edition...(don't have the game).

And tomorow, I think am gona buy the GOTY edition....for a freaking 57$! (the game wasn't released resently....should be at about 40$).

Its worth buying the GOTY instead of the dlcs. You save more and save hard-drive on your PS3.

omg why people are still buying the goty edition for PS3 after reading the negative comments in these forums...STOP it already! Then we wonder why they don't fix it...well...PEOPLE ARE STILL BUYING IT!

There are no work around...the goty edition for PS3 is simply a broken product!

I would also advise against the GOTY edition, I just recently picked up the standard version for cheap and purchased Broken Steel from the PSN. I had played previously on the PC but like you wanted to play on the big screen from the couch :)

Read through reviews of the DLC to see what you might want but I think Point Lookout and Broken Steel are the most popular.

And I bought the GOTY edition. Works fine fine for now... had 2 bugs, but any game can have some : at the begining, right when I was gona loot a roach, another attacked me...it stalled the game. recently I got stuck in V.A.T.S. . And last... more of a good glitch/bug , I dyied and an enemy threw a grenade to my corpse and went over me, he died before the game reloaded... IT GOT ME 55 xp WHEN THE RELOADED!!!! YEY!

Am pretty much always using V.A.T.S. .

By the way, I read alot in the forums. I know there can be problems, but I know what to do to minimise them. My saved game is in the 4555 kb , am doing the Mothership Zeta and still no annoying bugs.

Also, I am patient. Really patient.
... Am just wondering how to delete the corpses from the enemies we killed...
