I understand that the physical disc copy can be installed on 5 computers, and only 1 pc can play multiplayer at any given time.

However, there was also something written about authorising and deauthorising the 5 computers, and I have some confusion on how it work. Does this mean I can install on 5 computers, then later, I can also install it on a 6th computer by deauthorising access on one previously installed computer? i.e. I install it on computer A B C D E, then subsequently, deauthorise it at computer C, and install it at F, so that computer A B D E F can run the game?

short answer yes.

you should get the option to deauthorise the install on uninstall (or could be automatic not sure) so as long as you uninstall the game when you get a new computer you have nothing to worry about.

for me if i right click on the crysis 2 icon theres an option to deauthorize it on this computer

Thank you guys for the responses! My friend wanted to preview the game before deciding to buy it to play multiplayer together. I guess I can lend him my disc to install for single player mode then.
