Crysis is not CoD!

I'm already seeing so many posts about how people "unload clips" into the other person and they dont die and stuff about how certain weapons are over powered. Ive heard all these same rants online and i cant help but notice that all the kids (that ive bothered asking anyways) are coming straight from call of duty. They plop in Crysis and start playing it like its cod and they end up not doing so well. I think the reason fo rhtis is that they pop down their sights and stand still while shooting at the other person. Im sitting at a 2.6 kd because of people that play like that. another thing is that people dont die in 2 shots in this game. In cod you can aim at someone for a split second while shooting and get the kill so aiming doesnt matter as much. in crysis they dont die so quickly so the cod people are having to hold their reticule on the enemy for a longer amount of time and i think its throwing them off.

Im not trying to B17CH at anyone for playing like this im just tryin to help them so they can enjoy the game more. Try and drop your call of duty play style when your playing crysis 2 and youll more than likely see improvement.

I'm coming from CoD and I still having a small bit of learning to do, but I've gotten the hang of it for the most part. I'm sitting at a K/D of 1.5 right now, but I'm getting progressively better since I've learned to manage my suits abilities and power levels. I'm happy with the transition.

I popped in BO last night for the first time in two weeks to play with other friends, and it was horrendous. I could immediately tell the difference in the latency issues and bad gameplay. Don't get me wrong, I love CoD, but Crysis 2 has become my new love affair with online gaming.

I see a lot of these rants as well and don't get it. Like you, to me these people expect to be playing a different version of CoD. Same kind of gameplay, mechanics, etc. and play C2 online and get absolutely murdered. This game takes skill to do well, even decent, not just point-n-shoot to get your "1337" game play.

I find this is why a lot of people who piss and moan about playing like doodoo and threaten to leave the game or have already left to go play another game that a child can play and do well. Just my two cents.

Its the suit that makes it differs from call of duty, just remeber that without the suit theres not much difference..

yes. The suit is big deal. When saying "it's just the suit" you actually mean: "Its armor, invisibility, super-sprint, sliding, jump&super jump, grabbing walls, nanovision, visor, and energy management." That's a lot of things. And no, it's not all about the suit.

Whats more, CoD has become ugly, whereas C2 is just the best looking FPS ever.

I've seen those issues a lot: and I have never bought a Call of Duty game, ever, and nor do I plan to. So no.

Yes you do die in two shots with lag issues. It all depends who the host is. If i am playing with basicly the same group of people and i go from averaging 15 kills and 5 deaths to 6 kills and 9 deaths just because the host got switched. That is a connection issue......... I am glad that your not having that same connection issue i am having. OOOOOOOOO yea i am not a cod fan either, nor do i play like a COD player

If you played Crysis 1 you can definetely say its gone more in the direction of COD, e.g perks, Killstreaks (even though I like those two things) low health, regen health, no health bar.

Personally Id have rathered it work like the old game were you have a health bar aswell as an energy bar so contests would be decided on skill rather than who could pray and spray or who could melee rush.
