EA or Crytek

Post » Wed Feb 17, 2010 3:24 pm

Well To date I have not seen a smooth EA Sponsored game launch. All the Battlefields at launch were full of bugs and things were imbalanced.

Maybe just maybe that EA forced Crytek to release the game at said date even though Crytek told them that the game is not finished. And that Crytek Cannot say anything about the situation because of a NDA agreement.

Crytek has a reputation of releasing top class products, and this does not feel like a Crytek type game at all. it feels like a EA FPS game in general, nothing really new to the plate.

EA has a reputation of being involved with some of the most glitched out, buggy, unfinished being released games to date.

I am holding off blame about the "KNOWN" bugs / glitches that were in BETA, and have not been fixed, or hardly addressed. Maybe Crytek new the time line that it would take to fix said MP problems, and are Pissed because they were forced to release something unfinished to their fans knowing that the problems will be in effect for some time after Launch.

Just my 2 cents.

Time to go play MP get to rank 20, log out and have it all reset again when I log back in.

However, gamesas Forum support is a true let down. Has anyone that has submitted a ticket on the Support part gotten a response back from them yet? I sent in mine on Wednesday morning (CST). And still nothing. over 24 hours later.

So has anyone herd any type of "Personal" Response back from Crytek or EA? Other then the typical EA Response "Its not our problem contact so and so".

EA is the publisher fool. They print discs and advertise.

As a publisher they may likely have financed Crytek to develop the game. So very well may have a bit of strong influence of how things have turned out, very likely to deciding the release date too, regardless of the stage of development. What was the game like last year when it was originally set for release. Have to really wonder.
Don't think anyone can say for certain what really has been going on, maybe EA pulling the strings a bit tighter or genuine decisions made by Crytek.

I got to have more respect for Crytek though, EA, had a humble beginning, but that has not gone very well over the past few years. Much less quality games than there used to be.

Will still buy a EA product, as like Crysis 2, but they really have lost touch, thus promoting less innovation in their development studios.

As with book publishers or publishers of DVD movies, video game publishers are responsible for their product's manufacturing and marketing, including market research and all aspects of advertising.

And shut the **** up about EA already. Everyone biches about them with every game their name is on but they still sell MILLIONS of copies. If your that unhappy with them, stop buying their games or stop **** biching.

Don't know who your responding too, me or the OP.
I said I still buy their games, Crysis 2 for example, the only game actually with EA on since MOH: Airborne. Some games are okay of theirs, but they generally have not been consistent with their quality like they used to be.
No has been biching in this thread, just good fair and objective opinions.

Actually, the thread title is biching about EA. It's a known fact that a lot of people hate on EA. If you're not happy, vote with your wallet and don't do business with them. If enough people do this, their profits will drop and that will surely get their attention.
