In contrast, The Gunslingers, the ever open tavern of mature, casual gaming, celebrates the fact you are a parent and/or hard working advlt gamer by focusing on the fun and sociability of gaming. Like a good oasis, we do said celebrations with good cheer and good times by hosting our long standing weekend tradition called Frosty Pints. As you can imagine, it is all about getting together, getting on mic, getting a drink poured, and getting the party started!

The Gunslingers Newsletter for Week 5/09/2011:

While we count down to next month when we celebrate the 4 year anniversary of the formation of the Gunslingers and until we learn about what is in store at this year's E3, we have been improving the Gunslinger experience. Also, we know many of our PS3 members are rapping their fingers against the desktop while we wait for when PSN goes back up. Here are some of the things we are doing to keep us busy in the meantime:

1.) New Game in the Gunslinger Arcade - Every Monday, we add a new game to the library of titles in our unique, custom arcade. This week, we have gone incredibly classic by adding the board game, Backgammon, to the Gunslinger Arcade! Test your skills as you aim for the highscore list comprised entirely of fellow Gunslinger members!

2.) New Featured Game at the Gunslingers - We know that many of our members are first person shooter junkies, so we have added a game specific forum, chat, and master list section for the dysutopian, urban punk game entitled Brink! So, whether you are playing on the Xbox360, PS3, or PC, you are welcome to take part in discussions and swap contacts with exclusively other advlts for the game at the Gunslingers!

3.) Gunslinger Movie Theater - Sometimes getting into online game rooms just doesn't work. Sometimes you don't have control of your family's television set. Sometimes you just need a break from the online battlefields. Whatever the reason, you are welcome to decompress in the new Gunslinger Movie Chat feature! We are adding more and more movie titles to theater feature that you can watch while still take part in the GS Lobby Chat!

4.) Gunslinger Brower Toolbar - Gunslinger Leader, Teufel, has created a handy internet browser bar that any GS member can use. When using it, you can keep abriast of the most recent facebook, Twitter, Blog, forum posts, and GS site hot links while you cruise the internet! Check it out!

5.) New Master List Format - The Gunslingers are proud of introducing a new and improved, forum based Master List feature that enables members to reorganize the lists by chronological, alpha, location, and headset order! I dare we are the first (and only) clan to do it!

It's Friday the 13th. Of course, that must mean you are avoiding paths in which you would cross black cats, opting not to walk under ladders (which is really sound advice on any day of the week), declining any offers of breaking mirrors (yes, we know. They were asking for it.), or any other activities that may bring about bad luck on the day of the year already with an overcast of ill will. All these preventive measures sound like the ideal time to grab some brews or your favorite bottle of wine and game some rounds of Crysis 2 with fellow advlts in the Gunslinger tradition of FROSTY PINTS!

Frosty Pints takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings, which actually means all day Friday and Saturday due to having members from time zones across the globe. (Quite the bender, huh!?) The busiest times tend to be from 3:00pm PST and on.

Gunslinger Newsletter for Week of 5/16/2011

Today marks a new week, and another round of punching into those time clocks and working towards paychecks, free time, and, of course, gaming. The clan designed to bring together fellow parents and hard working advlts in a manner exclusively on their own time table for gaming has the following updates to share with everyone:

*New Arcade Game - GS installs a new selection in our ever expanding library of games featured in our custom arcade every week, and we have delved deep into our video gaming past by adding the Commodore 64 gem, Delta, to the Gunslinger Arcade! While the boss isn't looking, aim for the high score by shooting down waves of enemy spaceships in this side scrolling classic from 1987.

*The Horrible Horror Film Club - As we have announced last week, the Gunslingers have its own Theater Chat in which members can chat to their fellow GSers while watching streamed movies at gunslingergaming.com. With this new feature, a new tradition is born. There are plenty of terrible yet grossly amusing horror and science fiction films of the vintage nature. Why not have a little fun with it? That is why a "new" horror or science fiction film of the vintage nature will be added weekly for the enjoyment of Gunslinger members. Feel free to talk (or mock) these films in the Movie section of the Gunslinger forums as part of the Horrible Horror Film Club. It seemed only appropriate to start things off with adding They Saved Hitler's Brain!

*Countdown to GS 4 Year Anniversary - This June marks the 4 year anniversary of the Gunslinger clan, so we are all counting down to the celebration. We have grown quite a bit since our conception back in 2007 (growing faster than any other clan out there), and we have some exciting news, events, and (yes) even prizes in store for GS members during the anniversary festivities!


Of course, all the above are additions to what the Gunslingers are about, which is to bring together kickback advlts for some fun, uncomplicated rounds of Crysis 2 on the Xbox360, PS3, and PC. May Edition of the GS Member Spotlight - This month's edition of the Member Spotlight interviews features none other than MargaritaMama! She doesn't just game. Find out what makes a classically trained violinist who just so happens to also sling the virtual guns tick! Every month, the Gunslingers randomly select an active member to interview and learn more about. You can read MargaritaMama's interview in the GS Blog!

New Game Installed in the GS Arcade - Every week, we install another title into the custom Gunslinger Gaming arcade. This week, GS has added a remake of the 1982 Nintendo Game & Watch classic entitled Turtle Bridge! Hop on the heads of those turtles and try to aim for the highscore playing Turtle Bridge in the GS Arcade!

New Horror Classic Added to the GS Theater - We are slowly building up our library of streaming films in the GS Theater, and we have started by adding at least one new vintage film every week. This week, it is The Last Man on Earth starring Vincent Price. Like all selections in the GS Theater, it is done so completely legally and structured so members can watch and chat at the same time!

Memorial Weekend is upon some of us. That means the first official reason to clean that BBQ grill and invite friends and family over some open fire cooking.
