Are you telling me that some aging six year old graphics chip can do just as well as a top of the line graphics card of today? Please. This is nothing but lazy and sloppy coding, and development probably suffered because consoles had a "higher priority" during the development process.
You know, Crytek used to stand for something. They were the studio that gave PC gamers what we needed, what we wanted, out of our gaming experiences.
But, then Crytek grew greedy and decided to develop Crysis 2 for consoles in mind - because there was more money in the consoles to be made? Hmm? Why did they suddenly abandon their principles for the sake of money - chiefly, making sure that their games were developed for the PC gamer in mind? The lack of graphics options and "press start to begin" makes it clear that Crytek no longer cares about us.
I feel cheated out of my $60. Never again will get your grubby hands on my wallet, Crytek. Last game I will buy from this sorry excuse of a company.
We PC gamers need to band together and form a community studio to create games that will adhere to the conventions that PC gamers demand. Regardless of the money that could be realized from console development. Yes, we are demanding. But PC gaming is a posh enterprise, and we do not spend hundreds of dollars on hardware just to spend more amounts of money to run mediorce software.
