Iv'e seen a few people saying that only victor can operate the lift, and its on the wiki, But On my game victor only waits outside the Lucky 38 and when I go in hes not there and i can operate the lifts

Murder the robot dude, then you can operate it yourself. But that will piss off house i think?

Victor is the lift waiter until

A. You kill House, but Jane as well will vanish, leaving you unable to turn snowglobes in for caps.

or

B. At the part of The House Always Wins you must go to The Fort, complete that objective, then Victor will cease to play lift man.

He is a alive and i can operate it/

After you use the lift with Victor the first time, you can operate the lift yourself.

I never could, in my games i had to go through Victor unless i killed Mr. House. (edit: In which case the elevator controls will be transferred to the doors.)

If I have to hear "HOWDY PARDNER!" one more time, I'm going to kill Victor with my bare bloody hands !
To hell with the lucky38, it's a creepy empty place anyway..

Pretty sure only Victor used to be able to open it but due to bugs it was patched so that the PC could do it. I just know prior to one of the patches I always had to talk to Victor and then all of the sudden I didn't have to anymore.

Once I got to the point that Colonel Martyr said (2 days or so after release) I was able to do it myself. I'm hoping they allow the PC to do it from the beginning in the next patch. Victor's a good character, but he's annoying after a while.
