The Dark Heart of Blackhall (Point Lookout)

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 11:07 pm

Hey guys I'm doing Dark Heart of Blackhall and I was wondering if I can bring it to Blackhall to get the 1000 caps, kill him. Then take the book and bring it to the right person? Thanks!

The quest will end when you give him the book, but you can kill him, take the book, and take it to dunwhich to dispose of it. My very evil character keeps it with him for inspiration.

Let's just say 'you won't be able to give it to the other person'...

Really that old Blackhall man is a real [censored]. So yes, give it to him and then kill him (preferably in his basemant) and then you'll have a creepy mansion all to yourself! :D

Oh, because you don't want a lovely corpses clashing with the dust and dirt of the manor, do you? :P

Besides, he goes in the basemant and worships some dead bodies for the rest of the game, after that, so it shouldn't be hard. I executed him as he knelt down to pray. [censored] hypocrite.

The book is a scam. After you give it to him. He just sits there in his basemant. IDK if he is trying to revive the hillbilly lying in-front of him. If you try to talk to him he just tells you to go away.

What I do is; give him the book. Kill him; then take it back. Then use his house as my own. Really its a nice place to live. It has a kitchen, a bathroom, basemant with a utility closet and 3 or 4 rooms. 1 has a baby crib. It looks wicked after you get rid of all those ruined books and decorate it with your own things.

And if you want to get Good Karma you can take it back to the Capitol Wasteland, go to the Dunwich Building and get rid of it there - just take it down to the creepy idol and press it against it. The book will be destroyed and you'll get your Karma. Sometimes I like to keep it along with the Lincoln Diary, one copy of each of the Skill Books and some PreWar Books, just so my character has stuff to read that isn't in crappy condition. The PreWar Books I keep are usually the pale blue ones marked as junk - they aren't worth much for sale in any case; they're worthless at the Arlington Library.

Cleaning up the place can take a while. There are like 600 pounds of ruined/burned books in there. I had to sell them to get rid of them which can take a while because you would be moving very slowly. .
