Looking for Pre War Books

Trying to collect as much as possible. Anyone know where I can get a lot, besides Doc Mitchell's house and random traders. Thanks a bunch. :foodndrink:

Do you have dead money? If so the Abandonded BoS bunker has alot.

Many places on the strip have alot of books. Lucky 38 being one.

House's Penthouse has plenty, unfortunately the red ones glitch and become untakable after you grab a few so when you find them, spam a to grab as many as possible :).

I have it for the xbox but not PC yet, gonna wait til I get the spare money, real cool DLC its very intelligent.

As for The Lucky 38, I forgot to add that as well, I am sort of in the mood of leaving them there for decorative reasons, civil and what not.

To my knowledge there should be a lot in Vault 11 and Vault 19... I don't really care for Pre-War Books in NV, only in Fo3 where I give it to that Scribe in the Arlington Library.

Yea I find pre-war books to be kind useless. Sure if you get em in bulk you can sell em, but is it REALLY worth it? I can kill gecko's and scorpions and see that stuff off for more.

Are you decorating your pad with books or something?

There's a load in the camp searchlight house where that wretched NCR turned ghoul is hiding out.

Well, if you don't mind some bad karma, the bar in Boulder City has tons of 'em.

Yeah, I think of them as pre war knowledge that isn't burned away, so in my eyes they are worth something hehe. I just downloaded Dead Money off of Steam so I'm gonna get some there. Thanks for the locations, I will try the vaults soon and for Boulder City, I respect the bar there, I go there alot for it is one of my favorite bars. Just like I respect Mr. House's pad.

BoS Hidden Valley Bunker also has quite a number, but you need to steal them.

I also like to collect book, and try to build a library :P

So far I managed to collect a little over 430 pre-war books. Don't remember all the locations, but you can find a bunch in the strip, some vaults that are still preserved, the bar shop over in Boulder City. Other than those pretty much all around the mojave, but try the clean places. You'll have better chances finding them in organized type buildings.

There are a lot of Pre-War Books in Vault 3.

I'm disappointed that the books are so common. In FO3 they were much more interesting because there were so few. I also had the mod that gave real titles to the books (i.e. War and Peace, etc.). I'd like that here, but there are so many books!

I have that mod too haha! I managed to find some in Pearl's Barracks at Nellis. I'm about to play Dead Money again so I will have to keep an eye out.
