Speculation on what's in the new patch

Post » Tue Mar 09, 2010 9:53 pm

hmm.. update for Portal 2 has hit Steam a day or two after it was released. If Bethesda gave the patch to Steam over a week ago... why the holdup? Unless they've instructed all platform owners to release it on the same day or somesuch.

I really think Bethesda is holding a lot of things up (e.g. patches, DLCs, and just a big finger to PC users). Can't fathom why they won't release a finished patch to the wild. I can get delaying a DLC for bug tests, but come on this is Bethesda. They forgot what QA meant long before EA bought them... :brokencomputer:

Huh? When did that happen? Last i checked it was Bethesda (the publisher) that was buying everyone :hehe:

(Bethesda is owned by Zenimax Media, they have nothing to do with EA).

He may be thinking of Bioware. They both start with "B" so I'll forgive him.

Funny. The way I read the update is that the patch WAS released. To platform owners. Meaning that the delays now (with the patch) are with Microsoft, Sony, and... whoever it is for the PC (Steam? idk)

Everybody just needs to settle down. Take a valium or something. Play a different game. Be patient.

I am just going to post this here... Has anyone noticed that .308 ammo has disappeared from the game? I took a couple weeks off New Vegas to play Shogun 2 Total War (great game) then came back to New Vegas. Have been playing it for many hours now. Went to every dealer I know that sells .308 ammo and yet none of them have any. I can't even make it. I have given enough time from inventories to replenish, yet no .308 ammo!

Daniel Contreras at Camp McCarren stocks it in the thousands. 1000+ regular, around 600-700 AP, and about the same as AP in HP. Given it's sniper ammo, I don't really burn through it, but I always stock up from Contreras because it is fairly rare in the wastes compared to other ammo types, especially the AP and HP variety which NPCs never carry. So yeah, keep Contreras around and you can gather a decent hoard of .308. Also the Gun Runners' merchant stocks it pretty frequently, but not in the same volume as Contreras. :D

Ugh, I feel like an idiot. I did get the two mixed. Oh well, happens to us all.

I like the idea of That Gun being awesome, finally.

That's nothing, there were over 1750 people browsing for the announcement of the patch and the upcoming DLC info after a couple of minutes of its posting. And that's just the DLC forum alone.

On a side note: Guess it somewhat refutes some peoples' claims that NV has lost all its interest. ;)

Wait, let me just upgrade this Securitron to Mark II. There we go. I'll set it to rough the guy up for names. *West... of... the... rockies...*, and if no information is forthcoming, *Wallpaper... the... room... with... him...*. All done. Actually, I'd better send two. Mr House endorses FONV, we can't have his endorsemants getting trashed by scummy Wastelanders. S'bad for business.
