Look, this is what it boils down to: You've got to manage your expectations. It's as simple as that. Call me an old skeptic or whatever, but I NEVER believe anything I hear (and as they say, half of what I read, and nothing on the internetz) until I see some kind of confirmation, and then I remain suspicious until I see it with my own eyes. It's all about how you allow yourself to be manipulated. If you have a skeptically low expectation of something, when you do get it and it's ok, then you are pleasantly surprised. If you have an optimistically high expectation of something, and when you get it and it fails to live up to those expectations, then you are dissappointed. So it is your own expectations that set you up for pleasure or dissappointment. And you are the only one that can control your expectations. So practice a little skepticism, and a little patience, and maybe, you'll end up pleasantly surprised.
