Stability issues still exist

I'm still getting crashes.

In F3 I almost never got crashes. In F:NV it happens irregularly but sometimes frequently. Make a better patch.

Are you using mods? In my experience with Bethesda's version of the Gamebryo engine mods are the leading cause of CTDs. Especially mods that tax the engine such as IWS, and stuff that uses new high res meshes and textures.

Every game since Morrowind always caused crashes in my PC, but so far Oblvion and New Vegas are the lesser ones

Crashes and freezes cannot be repaired, its a issue that the Gamebryo engine have

I still get crashes in Fallout 3 but it's not often and even less so then Oblivion. It'll be every 50 hours and that could vary as the number could be higher. For New Vegas I can't say due to not having the patch but it sounds like the number has been reduced. They'll probably be at least one more patch to fix up any other type of issues.

I think you need to chill out your acting as if he just went on a rant lol
Also why would he even lie about his game crashing..?

I'm not surprised it didn't work either lol

yeah I'm on ps3 and I've had it freeze and there was a weird adui glitch that fixed itse;f after about an hour, so there are still bugs but it's been going a lot better that it was pre patch.

My FPS has gone up since the patch but the game still freezes every now and then and the sound starts looping, I have to alt+ctrl+del out of it. Just happened then when I killed a random Powder Ganger. :(

Admittedly I do use mods. But, I used even more mods in F3... soz

I think the problem is that this is probably the most content ever contained in the Gamebyro engine... so the result is that it's the least stable.

Interesting. It's the complete opposite for me.

Fallout 3 crashes and freezes on me all of the time. The patches that were released for it really did nothing to help that (considering the last 4 or so were just achievement/trophy additions). And this was on the Xbox 360, which, if I recall, was the main development platform for Fallout 3.

New Vegas, on the other hand, has only crashed on me twice in my 100+ hours of playing. The first being because the game engine is temperamental about the use of Alt+Tab, the second being after I added some mods and hi-res textures, and the engine froze on loading them for some reason. And the patches that have been released have only made my experience with New Vegas better and better.

my understanding is that if you are using mods the game will crash more frequently or just as much because the mods themselves havent been augmented to the patch. could be wrong though. try running it with no mods. I have the vanilla version on my pc and since the patch i have been running smooth. yet the crash/game breakers seem to be on a person by person basis....many have had a terrible time with this game and many (crosses fingers) myself included have had no major issues since day one. good luck!

Meh, this game is supposed to be mod friendly though. And like I said, I ran tons of mods in F3 AND oblivion and had no difference in stability. I might have to run it without mods but I just can't give up NV skies after having it. lol
