If you're implying by your title, and your post, that you have not yet received your ps3 patch for New Vegas, could it possibly be because PSN is still down? And, if it no longer isn't, it does take time to put things back together. It's not like BAM you got your crap all there.

Well..I'm pretty sure you need to be connected to PSN to receive your patch, I'm not entirely sure though as I own a 360, not a ps3, however it only makes sense that PSN must be live to dish out the update, so ps3 players shouldn't have the patch yet period, not even in North America. Pc users are currently the only ones to actually have it. And if you do use a credit card with your console, make sure you either get a new one or ensure your information isn't being used.

I'm like 99% sure people in the states have the patch (to the guy who doesn't even have a ps3  ).

Well..Xbox live has yet to receive the update, so 99% don't have it lol, and if PSN is down, because of a security issue, it should be down across the board.

If it doesnt have to be down, and people can get patches from it, why should it be down? So you can get the patch before PS3 users?

Your post made no sense to me :s I'm saying (as much as I know right now) that PSN is offline, no one can use it right now. So unless ps3 users can get the patch without being connected to PSN, they can't get the patch.

As I said, which you clearly did not read, I said UNLESS there is another way for PS3 users to acquire the patch other than through PSN, then I dont see how it it's possible to get an update/patch while offline. Its like me saying I got the patch while Xbox LIVE is down - impossible. North America is having PSN issues as well, as people I even know are talking about the possible credit card information being stolen, so I don't believe PSN is online here either.

Can we please not have another PS3 vs Xbox argument?

Besides, I'm pretty sure IGN did a thorough test a while ago to find out which hardware was superior...

Just let it go guys..

That's what I was afraid this was turning into. I wasn't trying to say the 360 is superior, because maybe it isn't. Each have their ups and downs. I've been trying to explain why the OP has not been able to get his FONV patch, yet supposedly others have.

In regards to actual real-world performance, the XBOX 360 wins by a small margin, over and over again. Multiplatform releases are better on the Xbox 360 almost 100% of the time.

Thats because of the devs.

You actually get better results if you use the ps3 as a lead platform (though it still will never be as good as PC). The reason most multiplat games for ps3 have lowered resolutions or no AA is because they are ported.

Anyways lets not turn this into a debate. The patch works fine for me even with PSN down.

Playstationeers, we get the patch from another server than psn... so if the patch is on the update server we'll get it.

Ya know, they should just give us an alternate download site. Assuming the game would update itself from a usb..
