It would be nice if the HUD had a display of your current dehydration level and hunger when in hardcoe mode. I have to keep flipping back and forth to see if I am thirsty or not. :meh:

While there aren't real-time displays, it will give you warnings when you reach the levels of dehydration, hunger, and sleep depreciation, much like how it gives you warnings for radiation and damaged limbs.

Been awhile since I played on hardcoe since I think its just more annoying than it is hard but I think that the higher your hunger and thirst get in the game the bolder the warnings get on your hud.
