I didn't realize it at first, but I was wearing my NCR Combat Armor and was looking at the map and realized my status had been changed to Neutral for the NCR. I was Idolized before, and liked by the BoS, but now they are both neutral. Do I have to regain all the rep I lost, or will it correct itself at some point?

I remember at one point the Black Armor would "absorb" reputation, and it would be gone when you took it off, which I hated. I'm pretty sure any rep you gain stays, for example, gaining NCR Fame in the Black Armor should give you fame, but only takes effect after you take the armor off. I once massacred an NCR base disguised, afterwards I took it off and was vilified. Infamy works fine, so fame should too. I hope this helped a little bit

Your neutral while you wear it. When you take it off then your rep comes into effect. Like Oreo said, if you gain rep in it, you will obtain it after you take it off, vise versa with infamy.

Ahh, cool. Thanks. I wasn't sure because I tried to remove the armor and was still neutral, but when I bought some different armor and wore that, everything went back to normal. Odd.
