The PS3 version of GOYE is CRAP!

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 12:47 am

You know I seriously had high hopes that this version of the game wouldn't be an afterthought because Bethesda, like Gearbox kisses Microsoft ass for EVERYTHING. What a surprise, it CRASHES EVEN MORE THAN THE REGULAR VERSION I TRADED IN TO GET THE GOYE!!! >:( One save file was so corrupted that every time I tried to get to the boat dock to Point Lookout, the game tries to spawn a Super Mutant Overlord near the Citadel, but it COMPLETELY LOCKS up every time. It took me 22 hours to collect everything I wanted in The Pitt before this, along with beating Operation Anchorage in 8 hours because of ALL THE CRASHING AND RELOADING! Now I've gotta go back to my file in at the start of The Pitt and hope my neutral character file in Point Outlook doesn't start getting FUBAR... >:( Did Bethesda seriously just farm the PS3 cut out to Hindu-Bobby with no Q.A. or Q.C. whatsoever to beat a deadline or what? If there's a patch to fix this crap, somebody please let me know...

P.S.
I'm so glad Bethesda didn't get New Vegas, wouldn't want them to cut corners on that one too. Black Isles 4ever.

The acronym GOTY (Game Of The Year) is what's generally used, I don't believe I've seen "edition" included before. However this isn't reason enough to mock it. Discussions need to be kept civil and on topic.

On that note, criticisms and complaints are fine providing they're civil and constructive. Your initial post WageslaveZ is more of a rant than a constructive discussion topic. Normally I'd leave this unlocked providing the ensuing discussion is OK, but there are already a number of active threads on this topic in the main http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=38 and the http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=67 so let's just continue the discussing of crashing in one of those threads.

Bethesda owns the Fallout IP so they can make whatever Fallout games they want, excepting MMOs (which they licensed back to Interplay). As for New Vegas, from my understanding Bethesda the sought out Obsidian to make a Fallout game, and that was the result.
