I do not want to cheat! Help? : Fallout 3

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any form of mod or patch I can use to remove the cheat option. Unfortunately when I run into a creature or boss etc I find it way to easy to hit God Mode and other cheating options. In my opinion this has ruined what is obviously an awesome game. I do not want to cheat, I would love a way to get rid of that option i.e. console access or something. Thanks for any help.

Yes I understand this is a SELF CONTROL issue.. I rather remove all temptations so I can learn to destroy the foe not cheat.

Actually, in the ini settings, there's an option to turn off the console.

Under [Interface] look for bAllowConsole=1 and make it bAllowConsole=0

This should be in \My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\FALLOUT.INI or \My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves\\FALLOUT.INI

Go to your Fallout 3 ini, and change bAllowConsole=1 to bAllowConsole=0. Or, self control.

I'm amazed at how many times this question is asked

Some people have recommended pulling off the tilde key on your key board.

I recommend developing self control.

If you aren't going to be helpful, then why post? Some people prefer PCs over consoles, so telling them to buy it for a system they do not want isn't good advice.

OP: Go to your Fallout 3 ini, and change bAllowConsole=1 to bAllowConsole=0.

I don't know how helpful to be about this. If he/she has a console already and doesn't want to be tempted by cheating, then playing the console version is the best route. There is no way to use console commands on a console. I would say a console version would work, or you could always just use self-control. :shrug: As long as a person is on a pc though, they can find a way to cheat.
