Somethings Not Quite Right Here

During the quest ''Ghost town Gunfight'' you can ask Victor to aid you in the fight against the Powder Gangers, then he never shows up. When asked about this he says that he was stopped from helping you from a remote location and that nothing like that had ever happened to him before. It's assumed that Mr. House controls Victor for the most part, but House wouldn't stop Victor from helping someone who is still useful to him and Victor does come to your rescue later if you need help on the way to Primm.

Could it be that Mr. House was testing us the ''courier'' to see what cloth we are cut from?

Could Ulysses have picked up some form of technology and tried to get us killed, knowing that the powder gangers are outnumbering the resistance and also that Joe has a stealth boy on him... Possibly given to him maybe by Ulysses?

Could it be a force outside of Mojave? Victor says that he was deactived from an remote unknown location.

Could it be that i am just over-thinking this?

:whisper:

...I just find it very uneasy, that almost everyone in Goodsprings doesn't trust Victor and that every-time i visit him i have compile more and more evidence suggesting that his past we are portrayed maybe falsely is a lie.

It is a place where much speculation comes in. We may find out what happened in a later DLC. I think this could turn into a great discussion Thread.

Great question! I will speak on behalf of No-Bark Noonan and say it was Chinese Soviet spys who wanted to infiltrate Victor's house and steal all his mojo. Only way to do that was to turn him off!

If you side with Joe Cobb, Victor is there defending the town.

This might just be a script error, but interesting speculation.

Mr.House tells you that Goodsprings is too remote a location to fully control a secruriton, and that Victor's A.I does most of the work, that's also why he didn't rush in and help you when you were attacked by Benny and his goons.

Thats the point, someone does fully control him somehow and it can't be Mr.House for the reasons you have just submitted.

Ulysses controls him. I think.

I honestly never thought of that. Could be. I just assumed it was House, wanting to see if you'd make it without Victor's help. If you can't handle a few Powder Gangers, you'd be of no use to him anyway.
