Level 50 Confirmed

Im with the king on this one. I voted no to a cap increase in the big poll in the dlc fourm awhile back, but more people clearly wanted a cap rise. Obsidian gives you a choice and thats all you can ask for.

Plus you never know what they ll bring into the game and have in the dlcs to balence it out.

I can't wait. I'm rubbing my hands together and practically drooling over the idea of actually being able to benefit from XP that I've had to pass up.

I'd buy every DLC even if the *only* thing they did was increase level cap.

Some people like to be godly and apparently do not care for game balance, cant be helped.

I get my game balance between levels 1 and 20. After that, I really do want to stomp across the Mojave as a god.

@Ace: Yes. Really.

Thats just pointless. you would be godly and the game would be boring...

I am going to win. There's no question about it. I may have to try like hell, but I am going to win. No game can ever be balanced sufficient to outdo human ingenuity.

Does people forgot that with Old World Blues you can decrease the level cap to 30?

I wouldn't mind it if skill points was set at 10 per level plus 1 for every 2 points above 5 in Int.

Then perks are gained at every 2 levels up till 10th lvl., after 10th it's set at every 3rd level; after 30 it once again gets longer (every 4th or 5th level.) It would keep players from becoming Herculean legends that can make Superstims from spit and good intentions while boxing an up-armored Paladin with wrapped fists, while also keeping with the "Ooooooh, Iz'a gained sum Xp!" aspect of RPG's.

I also don't honestly mind the raise all that much. It's like my days of 3rd edition after I played one character till he/she was epic leveled; but these types of characters are better suited for MMO and table top games that can go on for years.

Just my opinion.

You know that DLCs will most likely be balanced around the higher levels? Plus, we would be cutting ourselves from content.

I hope the lesson learnt from this for Fallout 4 is to set the level cap to a JRPG-style virtually-unreachable level 99, at least if Bethesda insist on continuing with the post-game DLC-milking. It's no good carefully balancing a game around an eminently reachable level cap of 20 or 30 only to then completely undermine this careful calibration with each piece of DLC.
