McNamara or Hardin?

Post » Mon May 24, 2010 10:05 am

Ok. I know that if I side with Hardin and overthrow McNamara, then I have to complete the Tend To Your Business quest which requires me to kill everyone in the Silver Rush.
But I don't want to kill everyone there because my character is an Energy Weapons specialist and I use the Silver Rush to buy all of my guns and ammunition.
Will I still be able to buy things from the Silver Rush if I complete the Tend To Your Business quest? Or will there be another place that I can buy energy weapons and ammunition from if I complete that quest?
Or should I just side with McNamara and not overthrow him?
And does anyone know what the effects are for siding with Hardin or McNamara? Like do I start seeing more BoS soldiers in the Mojave if I side with Hardin? Lol

I always clean out the silver rush. Get your energy weapons for free then :) Keep Veronica handy to recycle those energy packs and you're good to go.

(sorry, haven't done it the other way around, but I'm an energy weapon person too and I didn't feel like I missed out during my four playthroughs doing it this way)

I say side with McNamara

you can buy stuff from the Silver Rush still and if you want you can have them side with the NCR.

I don't think any paladins start patrolling, with either elder

Yeah, I always side with McNamara. Cass's quest forces me to deal with the Van Graffs anyway... so their fate is sealed either way (the way I play it)

If your going With NCR Leave McNamara its pointless to overthrow him
1.He lifts the lockdown anyway
2.If you let hardin become elder, The BoS won't side with NCR(That is unless your doing an NCR Playthrough)

Veronica is the best option for the BOS if they want to turn around in the good path

I just don't understand how anyone can take Hardin seriously. I mean honestly, have you looked at him? Specifically, his hair! It's absurd. I just can't deal with someone who rocks such a ridiculous comb over. Just shave it, man. You're embarrassing yourself.

Because some people dont judge them by their aspect or apparel, but for their actions

I'm not disparaging the fact that he's balding, but rather his choice of hairstyle. It's a complete personal choice to grow out his hair in such a ridiculous style.

I'd feel about the same way if he was wearing a bright green afro wig, and red clown nose.

Choice.

Here's the question:

1. Are you going Independent?

2. Do you hate NCR?

If the answer is yes, Go with Hardin.

Yeah, but he says he s the senior most Paladin and has see more combat than any other two put together. Plus he has a guass rifle on his back. I don t like his hair either, but hair doesn t always made the man. I take him serious, but that doesn t mean I d go with him most of time.

OP there are like 45 bos senarios depending on a lot of things. Some make it seem as Hardin should take over others will make u lean towards McNamara. It just depends on what you think in the current scenario you are in.

If you are worried about ew ammo then recycle it. Get the recycle mod on the lazer rcw. It think there is a perk that has you keep more spent cells than you normally would.
