Was anyone else disappointed that you couldn't rob a casino?

You couldn't? I thought you can, because I tried once killing everyone in the Ultra-Luxe for fun

Anyway, I agree with Charlemagne. The Strip is a tad bit small. I had an idea of adding a casino named The Egyptian Palace and a little plaza named Poker Square (I came up them myself :P). Also, the Luck 38 could be also be lifted from its lock-down label and simultaneously preserving Mr. House's secrets If he still wants to remain omitted from the public. And plus, Freeside's unused space could be used to open up ghetto-like stores, interesting locations, and quest-triggering locations.

Not disappointed that there was no heist in the core game.

The only thing that disappointed me? The meager caps in the safe behind a Very Hard locked door. Never could figure that one out.

I wish I could start running the Lucky 38 after I kill Mr. House. That and I think the Strip should be way, way busier.

And I wish drinking had obvious vision, conversing and talking issues.

Opening the L38 casino to the public is a great idea. Cocktail lounge too ;)

Possibly a money sink: "we're gonna need 10k caps per table, 5k caps to restock the bars, etc"

As for the booze, you kinda do. There are certain speech options that become available with Int 3 or lower, so an average person (5) under the effects of beer (-2) would qualify.

I was disappointed that i couldn't play Poker in New Vegas.. and the Strip was surprisingly small in comparison of all the hype that i had..

I agree poker and never got the hang of Caravan but I think the reason they use it is because it can be played with incomplete packs. No reason why poker couldn't be available in the casinos.

Actually when the first time I saw the title - "Fallout:New Vegas", I thought the final goal will be either side with one casino to fight in a war against all other casino or become the ruler of casino(s). But then, it is about the damn...I mean the dam...

Uh? You totally can rob a casino. Sneak in, take everything. OR, kill the guards and take everything.

Poker is far more a game of strategy than luck compared to most gambling games. It doesn't really have that "house-edge" that casinos rely on to make a profit, so it was probably left out to prevent you becoming a millionaire after spending like 5 mins in a casino.

The Strip itself was a little disappointing, not as lively as I expected and was chopped up into to many zones.

I don't think a quest to rob a casino was necessary.

It wasn't, seeing as it doesn't really fit with any of the pre-made storylines.. I agree.

Besides if you want to rob a casino, just don't let them disarm you, wipe everyone out and then it's all yours.. Ultra-luxe is fairly easy, most of them don't even have guns..

Someone needs to make a mod of a Ocean's 11 type senario.

It'll be called...uh...Courier's 11.

Courier: And with Verionica that makes ten. Ten should be good right?

Boone:.....

Courier: You think we need one more?

Boone:........

Courier: Alright we'll get one more.
