I have been experimenting playthrough on hardest difficulty and in hardcoe mode, with only one life ,no saves(had to put auto save on due to occasional crashes)

it is really fun and exiting to play this way.

i have now my second game going , i wonder if make it throught. only lily, cass and raul alive on companions.

suggestions on character build ? speech must be 100 for sure to survive in the end.

can enemy score critical hit on player?

my first game ended in near west vegas thug had mag 44 and it felt like critical hit (it was in vats mode)

Try going with explosives. They're heavy and with the new patch I keep crippling myself.

High Strength and Endurance would be a must. Try guns, so you can be a sniper. It seems like it would work out a lot better.

I'd guess END and a middling level of Sneak would be high on the list. I'd also vote guns - actual sniper not necessary - but then, I like guns so I'm biased. Unarmed is darn powerful too. Explosives seems like it would be biggest challenge early on, not sure about later w/all the new patch tweaks.

I have tried guns and energy weapons hi and hi lock pick. yeah i hould have taken more endurance only 265 hp and I'm level 16.

It works ok. just have to really careful with cazadors those pesky flies have killed all my dead companions so far.

usually i try to go straight away in to vegas. Try to get as much as possible stuff, money and xp. Then side with yes man and finish the game

It is doable for sure !

You could always have a Speech-focused character.
The main questline doesn't include very many enemies that you are required to fight or can't run away from. If you only do the main quests, you will usually have allies fighting with you, so you will hardly ever have to fight and risk dying. And with a high Speech, you will have a lot of allies.

And a silenced sniper rifle lets you kill everybody in the game before they even know you're there. But that's not exactly "Super-hardcoe."

final battles without 100 speech is really hard with one life. I wanna still get hi level gear and weapons first. 2 turbo and I can get safely in to nellis to steal expencive stuff.

I like sniper idea, hit and run.

Oh no !!!

I died In battle of hoover dam, i was sniping legionaires from far and there wasn't suppouse come anybody from behind (like 4 robots was there pretty near and veronica).

I didn't notice that someone was using chainsaw on me when using the scope .

dont know if you can do this but when starting on your hardcoe mode try setting all your stats to 1 and try doing the game with unarmed with just your fist and no armor on
