How has Fallout invaded your personal life?

It may have not affected me, but I'm addicted to this game like a junkie to crack.

I do indeed have an alarming number of bottle caps on top of my dresser. Not Nuka Cola caps obviously but hey maybe bottle caps of Jarrito's (it's a Mexican soda) will work just as well. My launch copy of New Vegas also cracked and started to suffer performance wise so I went out and replaced it the same day. Guess that's what happens when a single game pretty much sets up residence in my 360 since October.

I made a bunch of Nuka Cola caps out of my beer caps. I also noticed that Mexican Coke bottles (the ones with real sugar) look an awful lot like the bottles in-game. So what did I do? Slapped a Nuka Cola label on it.

Also that DirecTV commercial with the Russian-sounding guy reminded me and hubs of Dukov. We exclaimed it at the same time, too -- "Oh hey, look, it's Dukov!" we are such nerds ahahahaha.

the other day whilst i was gardening at a customers house i saw an opening it what i thought was a garden wall covered in ivy, i ventured in side and found an entire bungalow that was complete with furnishings and junk. it looked like it hadnt been touched since the 50's, my first thought was this is like fallout.

Pretty much this, I can understand seeing something that makes you think "Oh hey this is kind of like Fallout." Because I do that a lot especially when I'm reading post apocalyptic books, but to base a report for a letter grade which I'm assuming would be going on your permanent record; on a fictional character that inspires you when you were suppose to use a real life figure of which there are a multitude of...that's crossing the line just a little bit. :/
However if you were just suppose to do it on an inspiring character for an English class then I suppose Mr. House is alright. (We had to do one of those papers once last year and I ended up using a character from To Kill a Mockingbird. But only because it was required we picked one from a fictional story of any medium we chose.)

Anyways for me I can't listen to classic 40's Jazz without recalling for a brief moment the days of running around with my radio tuned in to GNR, same goes for the song Beyond the Sea and conjuring up fond Bioshock memories.

My teacher didn't say we had to use real life figures he just said CHARACTER so I did Mr House

I long for the day where Bethesda starts selling some actual merchandise for this series.

Nuka Cola in my freezer? Yes please.

Whenever i get into a fight, i scream "TALON COMPANY!"

I'd pay to see that. :o

I've been collecting bottle caps for a few years now. Beer bottle caps, snapple bottle caps, Coke bottle caps (from the glass bottles, not plastic), etc. I also have a pencil holder made out of metal wiring and, you guessed it, bottle caps. :3

When I was still in high school, I found a bobby pin on the floor and told myself I'd need it for picking locks later. I then realized I was in Biology, not a Metro or an abandoned building in Fallout 3.

I also have a 'Fallout Shelf'. :3 It's getting pretty full, though. x_x

I almost can't think of any specific examples. I associate so many things IRL with Fallout.

Whenever I hear 50's and 40's music, I whisper to my friends: "Where's the nukes?"

I sometimes lunge at my friends with my arm swinging in an unnatural arc upwards, like a melee power attack. I also have a severe obsession with Nuka-Cola.

For me it has to be whenever I see bobby pins on the ground, or left on counters. I just think to myself, maybe i should pick them up since i eventually lose my patience and break a bunch of them, having some more might be nice.

Honestly, can't watch House, or any Post Apoc movie anymore; including Waterworld, for w/e reason, without thinking of Fallout.
