Xbox 360 Mods?

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 12:04 am

Dumb question, I'm sure it's been answered but I can't find where:

Will Fallout3 Mods ever come to the consoles?

I unfortunately don't have an epic gaming machine of doom, just a working laptop of suffering, and I was hoping that I didn't have to miss out on some of the interesting additions to the game.

If you simply searched for "XBox", you would have found your answer. Which leads me to believe you actually didn't search.

Anyhoo...

Answer is no, never. Microsoft wont allow it.

Thank you for the answer, I appreciate your time and due diligence.
I could, however, do without the snarky comments.
I must have missed that nugget in the 1000 posts that came up when I searched XBox and Console Mods, etc.

Well, when this question gets asked about every other day, it's obvious that the person doing the asking isn't
even bothering to search to see if it's been asked before, hence the snarkiness

Hey, forgive this noobite from defending another, but isn't it a legit question, considering right here in the forum under Important Topics -
Fallout 3 Mods FAQ it says:

"Can I get these mods on my Xbox-360?
The Official mods from Bethesda are available for the Xbox-360 via Xbox Live Marketplace."

And taking my lead from there....here's my high heel in my mouth real question, I'd be grateful if someone would tell me which of the Xbox Live Marketplace offerings are considered Mods? None are listed as Mods. A thorough search of Mod or Mods or Modification or Modifications turns up nothing. Is any downloadable content that's not the original game and not a picture or video considered to be a Mod? Are the add-ons "The Pitt" and "Operation: Anchorage" considered Mods? Or is there content somewhere in the original game and/or within these add-ons that's considered Mods?

Thanks very much for some enlightenment,

Cursichella :violin: :banghead:

Mod is short for modification.

DLC is short for Downloadable Content.

So any mod is also a DLC and any DLC are the same as a mod. We just call the offical mods from bethesda DLCs so that we dont get confused.

No, because the problem all you console users have is you all think Console = Computer, therefore you
don't see a difference and therefore think with a little 'extra' coaxing that pretty much anything on the PC can be
"Transfered" to a console.

I can't count how many "GECK for the XBOX?" threads have been started.

MODS CHANGE The Game

DLC ADDS to the game.

Why is this thread still open anyway?

Consoles are nothing more than computers made for much more limited tasks. In fact, games made for the XBox / PC can be changed to run on the other one in about a day's worth of work.
