can't get past the omertas

Post » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:13 pm

so I'm going through the house always wins pt III and when it comes time to kill the omertas bosses the guy (chatu or something I can't remember for the life of me right now) just sits there and when I try to talk to him he keeps saying "no time for chit chat time to go meet with the bosses" and proceeds to stand there on the lower level by the elevators I've tried going through a different way but it requires me to go through the front desk to start the quest again and since I've already done that I can't pull up the correct dialogue. soooo what do I do? I could just kill house and choose to ignore them through yes man, though that's not exactly how I want to do that I'd rather try and get the guy to go do what he's supposed to do first, any ideas?

You may have to do a reload if the quest is broken. Here's how I do the quest and it never breaks on me.

Spoiler

Talk to the secretary at the desk
Ask about Cachino
Have Cachino approach me
Pick pocket his journal, then blackmail his cooperation
Talk to that Gun Smuggler guy in the Zora Club downstairs and free him from blackmail, I also put the explosive powder in the weapon room for him.
Kill the rapist guy in the penthouse top floor area.
Report back to Cachino to tell him the jobs done.
Take on Big Sal and Nero in their office.

It's not ideal I know, but you can just kill the Omerta bosses yourself. You'll probably get a telling-off from House, but you can nonetheless proceed with the House Always Wins route this way.
