primm courier glitch

Playing through yet again, just got to Primm and realized Daniel Wyand (Courier 4) did not appear. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this glitch, or do I need to spawn/kill the poor guy myself?

Last I checked he's already dead by the time you get to primm, probably got killed by powder gangers or something. Not sure what's up with his body not appearing, I'd say spawn him with console commands but I'm not sure what the outcome is for dead bodys. ( like the failed FEV things in F3, spawn those and say goodbye to your game for a while).

a better thing to do is if you can get on the GECK is to find the ref to his corpse and then get in game and enter the ref's hexcode and enable

like this:
00lolref.enable

should work at that point.

This is definitely a better idea, as spawning a character that starts out already dead can have...odd...results.

For example: there are supposed to be two dead BoS Paladins in a crater near Nellis, however the one not carrying the note often either fails to spawn or gets blasted by the shelling such that he cannot be found. If you use the console command that spawns the actor in question, he will show up alive and pissed off and start shooting at you.

By using the RefID you spawn the corpse rather than the base actor (almost all types of NPCs have a base template that was used during development), which avoids potential problems.
