The only one I've even fired so far is the Laser RCW. It looks like it could be fun, but I'm wondering if it does enough damage to be my primary non-sniping weapon. I guess when I find more ammo I'll find out.

I've always had a soft spot for laser weapons, but they were more appealing in the old games how they "sliced" enemies in half instead of turning them into ash.

Plasma, because I can hit my targets and I can afford the extra MF cells. Once I get my YCS/186 or the Holorifle, [censored] this, I'm KING OF THE MOJAVE!

I suppose that I prefer the Heavy Caster, but its bugged. When I used it, I found that its "Firing" Node is misaligned and points upward in first person.

**Does anyone know if they fixed this yet?

(This is something that I could fix, but I was going to wait until I actually found one in the game; thinking that by then it'd might be fixed with the patch.)

I can't bring myself to stick to an EW build. The 'distorted squirt' sound a laser makes in VATS drives me nuts.

I don't really use Energy Weapons often, but I've been known to brandish an Alien Blaster or a Tesla Beaton Prototype.

I personally mainly use guns. However I do incorporate the Gauss Rifle and the Pulse Gun into my loudout sometimes. I'd like to see some more Gauss variants.

A modded laser rifle seems to be the most useful energy weapon by far on my current ew playthrough. By contrast, the plasma rifle seems almost completely useless, which was a suprise given its status as a top-tier weapon in the previous games.

Classic Fallout Weapons mod! It brings back the Fallout 2 weapons, PPK12 Gauss Pistol, and M72 Gauss Rifle. Then again, just like in Fallout 2, they're Guns weapons, not Eweps. Something about propelling a 2mm bullet, rather than a beam of energy. :gun:

Pew Pew, second only to the Alien Blaster and doesn't suffer from the distinct lack of ammo of the former...
