Okay. What I did was I took the armored vault suit and I removed the suit part of it so I had the utility belt, shoulder and knee pads and I took a Sheriff Duster in the construction set and put them together to make one really cool looking suit of armor I can wear in game. I gave it the same stats as Reinforced leather Armor, the weight, DT, value and everything are identicle. Now before I use it I go and acquire an actual suit in game via purchasing it from a vendor or buy saluaging one off an opponent. I then goto a container I've left in Doc Mitchell's house and swap the reinforced leather armor for this really wicked looking outfit of mine. Now the reinforced duster as I call it is set to spawn in the chest with only a health of 1, which will always be much lower then the reinforced leather armors health I'm trading in to use my reinforced duster. So is this cheating?

No, in fact, release it as a mod, i do so want.

It's impossible to cheat in a single player game. You could turn "god mode" on and play the whole game that way if thats what you want and it still wouldn't be cheating since you are not gaining an unfair advantage over another person. It just boils down to what is fun for you (after all it is YOUR game). Personally, I like a challenge, and it sounds like you do also, so just try it out for awhile and if you don't like it .. change it around

I'll get to work on it later tomorrow, in the mean time I've got Honest Hearts waiting on me. Alternatively to do this you could download the Tailor Maid mod from the nexus since the modder has already done what I have done and with alot more items you can mix and mash together, I had to slap myself not realizing this. As for my armor, when I'm done with Honest Hearts I'll get my act together and put it together on the nexus. I'm just going to drop it into the Leather Armor's formlist so the chances of it spawning on enemies or in shops in place of the regular and somewhat unappealing ( atleast to me ) regular reinforced armor. I'm no good with making shops spawn items ( My disarmed slave collar being one of those mods I tried making and couldn't rig up.. I think it's still up on Fo3's nexus ) so all in all I'll try and fix something together. Thank you everyone.
