Monster spawns

Post » Wed Jul 28, 2010 9:30 am

Greetings,

I acquired FNV when it was launched but I didn't had the chance to play until now. :)

I would like to know how alive is the wilderness. Is there a lot of monsters spawning there? Those spawn points respawn over time (like in Oblivion)?

Thank you,

Koldunic

Note.: I tried using the search in the title but I have problems with it.

Edit : I have both DLC.

Spawn systems are a little more regulated than what it was in Fallout 3. Your more likely to find monsters/characters in locations than randomly around in the wasteland.

Ok. :) Can I still make some hunting trip around the wild and then make that trip again 2-3 weeks later and expect to encounter some monsters again?

As far as I can recall the monster would spawn back within a week ingame or so. I am mostly an explorer so going back to the same locations twice isn′t happening that often. But I normally have found the enemies on their normal place within a fair amount of time.

Most "critters" non-human enemies & bandit-type humans in outdoor areas respawn, in predictable places (it's always the same general spot).

Respawn time is three days. Vaults and most other buildings do not respawn. Certain quest areas (even if outdoors) do not respawn.

*waves* Glad you like them.
I like the term "demented" myself. Has a nice ring. Maybe I listened to too much Dr. Demento growing up.
