No more enemies?

Post » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:07 pm

I've found all the locations in the Mojave, and I'm having trouble finding enemies. I've done the same in Fallout 3, but enemies seem to respawn after you visit an area after a certain amount of time in FO3.

Obviously because I've been everywhere, I've killed most of the enemies. Anyone know if they do indeed respawn after a while.

No other way to put it lol

My biggest complaint with this game, no one left to fight.

You shouldn't have to start a new character just to find a decent amount of enemies to fight, not in a free roaming game. OWB or LR better have a lot of respawning enemies you can go back to because so far neither DLC has fulfilled that.

I would disagree with that somewhat...depends on the game, the story, the plotline for quests. If a quest says "destroy this place" it'd seem silly, imo, for certain soldiers to respawn around the blasted remains all the time. Not that I don't want more random encounters, mind you...I just don't think free-roaming rpg should always equal lots o' constant enemies no matter what you've done in the world. NV has a singleplayer game design meant to reflect consequences/results of your actions, rather than a Diablo/WoW persistent enemy type of game. Thus you need a new character/replay the game.

Critters, fiends, bandits, gouls...that's about it. Unless you use mods of course. ;D

And there are plenty of those to dink around with, if you so choose. Powder gangers respawn a lot between Sloan and Primm, always lots of Legion wandering around west/NW of Searchlight, and between Nelson and Ranger Station Echo. Fiends respawn all over westside of Vegas and south of McCarren base, and there's plenty of places to hunt deathclaws and cazadores and other vermin, if you're desperate enough.

Yeah, it's just a skilled assassin can only kill a bunch of drug addicts so many times before it becomes boring lol...I wish my computer could handle NV so I could get mods but unfortunately it can't...

The only places I go to fight enemies now are the Fiend Territories, Black Mountain, and the Legion Raid Camp

everywhere else is basically empty or full of boring things like Cazadors or Bighorners

There are probably mods you could install to add enemies.

All generic living things outside should respawn every 3 days, either your game is bugged or you need to wait another 3 days.
