I was inspired by Rex 285's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1194535-cl-before-ncr/page__pid__17748570 about CL. What would have happened if Elija had managed to hold HELIOS One long enough to activate the defensive weapons?

Personally I think He would have put the technology to use to further his atempts at taking the Siera Madre.

He learned about the Madre later, I do believe. I think he would have then set about trying to find the C-finder, or tried to design a replacement so that he could attack Shady Springs, and bring the NCR to it's knees, regardless of the civilian casualties. Seems up his alley.

Elijah is a [censored]. If Hardin was in power, he probably have the Brotherhood retreat and launch a counter offensive...Helios one is barely protected after the battle with NCR troops, probably 2 paladins could take them all out. NCR troops are fat and lazy compared to the brotherhood, with the exception of Rangers.
