Well i got the "original" fallout 3 to work after some trial and error but never the goty disk.
Just kept crashing whit out even giving a decent crash in event log.
Funny solution reboot into linux install run from windows drive and voila works. (install just to create the /my documents/mygames/falloutfolder/)
Usually one has to go into windows to play games Well i guess it proves once again linux is more useful then one might think.
Probably not helpful to most of you ppl having issues but us dualbooters might find it helpful

What's a duelbooter.

Is Linux a O/S or something, or like DOS, so you duel boot DOS an Linux.

Yes Linux is a OS Free alternative to windows or osx or what not.
There is a program you can install for it called wine (wine is not a emulator yes thats what it stands for lol) which lets you run windows programs.
Dual booter is somone who has more then one OS installed
In my case Ubuntu 10.04 Dreamlinux opensuse windows 7 and backtrack 4
All except win 7 are linux variants
