Marcus's Poem

I'm not sure how many of you played Fable 2, but it wasn't nearly as good an RPG as any TES game. It did, however, have a single highlight that stands out beyond all others for me: Marcus's Poem. When you open the final demon door (Opening them all is NOT an easy task, and many people give up), you are beset by an incredibly beautiful scene full of life and nature. You cannot draw your weapon. At the end of the area is a small waterfall and pool of water, and in front of it rests a pedestal with an open book on it. The book reads:

"I've been around the world.
I've seen a million things.
I've fought in countless wars, and dined with many kings.

I've seen the northern lights.
I've counted all the stars.
Been in 'n' out of Saturn's rings and started life on Mars.

I'm fluent in every language.
I've tasted each cuisine.
I've stayed in every palace, and lived what people dream.

I was there when it began, and I know when it will end.
My only enemy is man, yet you are still my dearest friend.
I invented evolution.
I gave you your first breath.
I was there at your conception and I'll be there at the time of death."

That poem was written to recognize the death of a member of the team during production, and for me it was one of the best parts of the game. Do you think/want Skyrim to include a meaningful poem, or something similar, as an end-quest item, or something hard to come by, to add that extra level of depth and meaning to the game? I know I sure do.

If it makes sense then yes, but not if it's there without a purpose.

On a less classy level, I remember one of the Morrowind artists used to inscribe his alias "Wormgod" on the various pipes throughout the Dwemer ruins. I love it when developers put in little references towards one another.

I love that too, in fact, I love any easter eggs put into TES games, cause they're always handled so well, it feels cool noticing one. :D

But with this I was kinda thinking on a more classy level.

If there's a good reason for it, sure. But not just for [censored]s and giggles. Has anyone at Bethesda died?
