goty not saving uk disc : Fallout 3

i have just got the goty to play the add-ons, it wont let me save any progress although it lets me load my previous games. Can anybody offer a solution to this annoying problem!.

Are you using your own save file? You can't use a save file on different accounts.

Keep getting more and more reports of this, the UK region is pretty solid so there shouldnt be any chance of it being the wrong region. Just make sure you account name is the same as before if your playing on another and use the same PSN on the account your using just to be safe. Theres a member who knows a way around the save block on the original version but I have not seen him around for a while, perhaps could be modified for GOTY. Ill search about.

I have the same problem. It's a region compatibility problem...

Kind of pathetic! You see the ps3 isn't supposed to be region locked but it is due to the fact that a save on your account on one region disc is not compatible if you started that game on another region disc.

Just plain stupid if you ask me. There has to be a workaround but since this version is not lucrative anymore and they are full-on working on another project, you can forget about there ever being a fix to this.

I'll try to contact them to see if there is a slight chance of there being a fix but I won't get my hopes up!

This sounds like the kind of problem but the Big question is "has anybody else managed to use their existing saves and resave , it lets me load", i did up grade my ps3 to the slimline whilst playing the game but it never had a problem b4 i changed the game, as far as i know i just saved the game over to the new machiine, im pretty sure i have my old ps kicking around whats the crack with psn ive never taken it online

I definately have the correct disks as i checked the region issues, im thinking where ive changed my ps3 to the slimline during play it caused a delayed effect that im only experiencing now ive changed disk - as obviously now, im not ths same user i was if you catch my drift! why cant we just turn off the trophies
