no option to patch

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 5:02 am

So, last week my husband rented Fallout 3, and today I bought him a GOTY addition for the PS3. I read that there is a patch to fix the issue with old save games not showing up, but it isn't giving us the option to patch. It says it is currently version 1.01, and it is connected to the playstation network. Is there a way to force a patch?

Should patch automatically. Try searching around on the PSN store. I think they have some patches

Usually it does work automatically, or at least I haven't had the issue before. The only things available at the online store are the downloadable addons, no patches.

The GOTY comes fully patched, the patches are on the disc so it does not need to download them. There is no patch for the saving issue, theres been more reports of this lately than ever before it certianly strange.

Umm.....

If its 1.01 then you have already downloaded the patch & there is no other. What country do you live in; Canada?

Yeah, I'm in canada. I'm really wishing now I would have bought a used version of the game and just paid to DL the addons. Too late now though since the packaging is opened. Thanks for the info, at least now I know it is the most up to date. >.<;

Just to make sure, you have checked from the admins post that your region code is the one effected by this and that you have followed the steps mentioned in order to get the saves to appear?

The version I bought matches, but since I returned the copy to blockbuster I'm not sure about it. Maybe it is a different version. Guess my husband is just going to have to start over. >.< And yeah, he followed the instructions to create a new game and play up until that quest.
