After scouring through the wiki and checking in game, I noticed that after the effects of the cowboy and grunt perks (both +25% damage on this knife) and the heavy handed trait which increases it by another 20%. The knife ends doing 39 damage or 227DPS which is more than the shishkebab with the pyromaniac perk. Though I would still rather take on a deathclaw with my Oh Baby!

I understand there are plenty of other weapons with more DPH but any thoughts anyway?

*Edit: My mistake hadn't realized how much DPS Oh Baby had with Heavy Handed, still chance knife remains my favorite new melee weapon.

Oh baby leaves a legendary deathclaw ( 850 life ) with 300 life asuming u got elijah rambling and heavy handed

while a balistic fist leaves it with 150 life

thermic lance used to kill legendary deathclaws now ... it's probably good vs high armored targets

Agreed, nothing beats the KLUNK sound of Oh Baby smashing in the skull of a deathclaw, I thinks the chances knife thing was more of an observation.

Ever go through The Kings HQ with just Oh, Baby?

Might do that one when I get home, I wouldn't mind adding the kings cool yellow suit to my collection. The most fun I've had with it was clearing out all the legion scum bags at the fort.

Just a note. If you were fighting something with, say, 15 DT (like a DeathClaw)... It would cut your DPS almost in half. And that's with 2 perks and a trait.

Without those 3 boosts, well, any DeathClaw you attack with Chance's Knife might start kicking his leg like a dog while you scratch his belly.

It's quite a bit of fun to beat the Kings down. Killing Legion is always a good time.
