That would be cool. Split screening is great for people who have never tried the game before :P

Have you ever played Black ops on split screen? you'll remember that the graphics quality for both screens look plain awful. This is because when you play split screen, the console is actually rendering the game twice. Now, Crysis 2 has a lot of framerate issues on consoles. Sometimes the framerate can dip to 15. Imagine what the framerate would be if the poor thing had to render it twice. I'm sorry, but both Xbox & PS3 aren't getting splitscreen. Unless you're fine with playing at 5 frames per second constantly.

I don't think anything is ever fun in 5FPS.

Does the game run at 5 fps in 3d mode? No? Didn't think so. If a game has 3d, there's really no excuse not to have split screen because the capability is already there. The image is already being rendered twice (in 3d mode).

And I don't know what game you're playing, but mine never drops down to 15 fps. You're either exaggerating or trolling.

Halo, Killzone, Gears of War, and Resistance work well with split-screen. I'm sure Crysis 2 isn't any exception.

The game doesnt use real 3d, which would run horribly on consoles with crysis 2. I forget the specifics, but look around the PC forums, theres a few guys complaining about it. Also, I know what game I'm playing. Play some TIA, and look at a orbital strike while it shoots. If you're not getting fps drop then that's wonderful for you. A lot of the rest of us are having a lot of fps problems. Still fun though.

Okay, yeah, I'll agree with that. I have noticed a fps drop during the oribital strike sometimes but other than that I've never had a fps problem online.

I will note that I did have one match where the fps was extremely choppy throughout the entire match. I don't think it was lag but it could have been. That was the only time it ever happened, though. Maybe some folks are experiencing that problem with every match, I dunno..

Edit: Oh, and could you elaborate on that not real 3d a little bit?

real 3d refers to it reading the disc twice an over laying it witch is where the fram rate issues come from a split screen function would not mess with frame rate as bad if at all just like black ops wich i play split screen everyday an to me it seems to have a better frame rate

Split screen works on black ops because black ops has... less that average graphics. I think we should drop it, crytek isn't gonna add split screen, simply because it would not work.
