Singleplayer enemy awareness meter

Post » Fri Oct 15, 2010 8:37 am

(dang even the forums look pretty)
Is there any way to get rid of the meter in the bottom left hand corner? I'm not quite sure how it works but I get the gist that it tells you whether or not enemies know where you are, which feels like cheating to me, so I would like to be able to remove it. Thanks.

Probably, but i don't know how. Plus, i don't think i've ever used the meter once. Hardly bares any relevance tot he battle anyway. Hiding in a bush while fully cloaked with no-one knowing your position after firing a loud weapon gives the same bar as shotgunning someone int he face in a room full of koreans :)

In-game there's no way to do it, even from the options menu but you can try going to this website http://www.crymod.com/portal.php and looking up some mods for it. Never know, somebody could've had the same idea as you. Good luck!

I dont believe you can remove JUST the awareness meter, but you can remove it and the whole HUD through this command (open the command box with the tilde ~):

cl_hud 0

Happy Gaming! :)

on Crysis 2 enemies will be colored according to their awareness level, If they are green, they can't see you, if they are yellow, they have detected you and/or are looking for you, if they are red, they see you and/or are attacking you.

That seems feasible and player friendly... :)

I just hope there's a way to disable for people who want a challenge.

Judging by the trailer/Crysis 1, the aura will only be there on easy or when you're using the binoculars. I'm not entirely sure though.

Easy, as a standard and for a challenge, to be used with binocs only...
