Question: Is Alcatraz a Marine or Army soldier? I've read a few previews that say he is a Marine Special Forces trooper and others that say he is a Green Beret, or commonly referred to as a "soldier" (Marines don't call themselves soldiers). I'm only curious because I like knowing the character background. Thanks

He's probably a special ops, but I'm not sure.

Information regarding Alcatraz is at a minimal, for the time being. But I think he's spec ops since the original characters were spec ops as well.

thanks, yeah I'm pretty sure it's special ops as well, but Marines have their own special ops. I definitely read a preview and other comments on other forums where they call Alcatraz a Marine special forces trooper. Also, in multiplayer you play as Marines vs CELL, you fight with Marines in single player as part of Marine squads and there is a mission called Semper Fi or Die. Semper Fi (Semper Fidelis) is a Marine Corps motto.

he could be Delta like from the first Crysis, but hes deffinately friends with the marines.

probably hes just one of the best marines in his team, and Prophet trusts him so he gives him the Delta Nanosuit. Crynet does not like this obviously.

Yeah that sounds about right. I know for sure he's a new character. I hope they give us more info

haha. Well I like the theory that he's a regular Marine or a Force Recon Marine who is given the armor by Prophet
